A follow-up. A person trained to help my family member who I had checked with about working this weekend, called unexpectedly. She decided she wanted to work part of the weekend afterall.

The angels do come. Thank you, Lord, and thank you to any who saw this and said a prayer.

I am and have been for 18 years, responsible for a mentally and physically disabled family member. I am no better at this than anyone else. I want to run from the work too, like everyone else does. I think it is not right that I carry this work alone. But then I think about my family member and ask, how would I feel if no one wanted me like no one wants (the work that comes with) my family member.

Here's a mystery. Why don't we help each other more? Why don't we stay awake in the garden? And so it goes.

Pray for us.
